I would like to outline a roadmap for where my job history journey has taken me and will be taking you, dear reader.
Where we last left our intrepid new teachers, we had arrived in El Paso, Texas. I rolled into town in my rusty Toyota Corolla with a brand-new water pump, no AC, and no power steering, and Jim was following right behind me in the purple bug with the world's greatest AC and an intermittent check engine light.
Here are the guideposts for the rest of the journey as I intend to tell it:

Here are the guideposts for the rest of the journey as I intend to tell it:
- 1999: From El Paso to arrival in Phoenix
- 1999-2000: A first-year teacher in South Phoenix
- 2000-2001: What changed for my second year of teaching
- Summer of 2001, 9/11, and what's next?
- 2001: New job as a data entry temp
- 2002: From temp to permanent employee as a claims processor, research and adjustment analyst, and a claims trainer
- 2004: First company buy-out and first management role
- 2005: The shift out of claims into systems configuration
- 2006: Side gig of test prep tutoring
- 2006-2012: Second company buy-out and configuration roles and responsibilities
- 2013-2014: A return to management followed by a burn-out
- 2014: The move to being a consultant
At some point, I will catch up to where I am today and that will be the end of the story of my job history.
Also i'm excited by the fact that this might be a never ending series.
Also shouldn't this be called a Blurk history?
