Prey

A few weeks ago, I watched a movie called 'I care a lot' on Netflix.
When I looked at the tailor, I found it interesting and seeing Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones made me decide to watch the movie.

The concept of the movie is that there are only two groups of people. Those that are predators' and those that are prey. The only way to not be a prey is to be a predators. I found that concept fascinating. I have often found myself being a prey to something or that other cause I am more trusting that I should be. Especially in the US, I find that there are predators in the healthcare system, banking system, definitely in insurance industry and many other institutions that I learnt to distrust the hard way.

The movie was ok - it has moments of interesting dialogue and made me think about the premise a lot. Have I been a frequent prey for any specific reason? Do predators know and identify an ideal prey based on some specific criteria? Can I do something to appear like a bad potential for predators looking to score? The fact is, there are predators everywhere. They could use business or the law as an excuse but they exist. The best thing I can do besides not being a predator is to be a difficult prey. A new goal is born.

it's sad you feel the need to become difficult prey. Hopefully in the future you feel empowered enough not to feel such.

I get the feeling though. When I feel like my world is burning down I think in terms of predator and prey as well.

When I'm feeling strong I often still see the same relationships between things but instead of seeing it as predators consuming prey I think of it as neutral systems. Systems that can be altered to a degree.
