Trust Him

When they got to the spot they had to be quick nonchalant like they were just admiring the view.

“Its all about transitions. Just like triathlons, it’s all about transitions.”

The kid had never even ran a 5k. He doubted these guys either but fine he thought.

They had to get the three bodies in the water.  No rocks no nothing the current would take them in different directions. Too many different ways. The sea changed fast here different tides and a river all melting into one.

Then they could re group. Once they were gone they’d be fine. Shaken but fine.

“We sure they dead?” The kid said.

“Yeah of course. We’d of heard them by now.” Danny responded.

Blayne made eye contact with him. Or tried to.

The plan was simple Danny stays in the car and signal them if anyone was coming. The kid would grab the small guy and Blayne the other. Then they’d both grab the last one. It took 2 min or so to get to the water. The kid would go first down just to make sure no one was there. There usually wasn’t, “not beautiful enough for people to be hanging around” Danny said.

The kid didn’t trust him.
