Blayne had burst into the workers room. Jade hated when he did that. From there there were cameras and you could see everything going on outside. There was no one, no reason to barge in.
"Everyone out."
"Its just you and me Blayne."
"I can't take anything today Jade. I just need some rest. Please."
Jade pondered this for a little, and finally she just got up.
"Rest well. I'll hold over the ship."
She was hoping to be relieved of her duties, as she was already doing a favor, but something in the way he said Jade, meant he was serious and tired.
So she went back up to the desk. There there was a Nespresso machine. Jade liked that, that was the only thing that could keep her up at this time of night.
When she got up to the desk it was silent. At this hour they even turned off the music and locked the doors.
So she plopped down on the chair and swiveled to the espresso machine behind the desk.
Loading the capsule the soft hum reminded her always of late nights. There was never any other reason to drink coffee.
She liked that, and wrote it down, if she couldn't sleep she might as well write.
