Believe it

as reply to made him smile as he walked over to the bookstore

The bell to the door rang like it always did. It had again for another year avoided becoming sold out, and turned into a burger joint, or a pita place. It was just nice coffee and some books.

He liked this place, because the books were just what the owner was reading lately. If he'd liked a book he'd buy a few and once they were gone they were gone.

There was also a weird fountain in the middle. A waterfall it didn't belong but somehow it worked.

He got to the counter, and he was going to say just a drip, but another part of him ordered a mocha.

He had had a mocha here years ago, maybe with Johnny or something, and it was the best coffee drink he'd ever had. He had taken one sip of pure joy, the chocolate and the coffee combined to form something spectacular. The sad thing was before he could take another sip Johnny knocked it over.

As it fell he almost dove, but when it hit the carpet, it must have been right about a grate or something it all pour out and disappeared. He couldn't believe it, neither of them could believe it.
