There was a long line in the front of the house so he tried to go around the back. Now he was being held-up by a new kid. Probably didn't even know Mike.
"Okay. I'll go to the front."
Just as he was turning around he heard a wheezing laugh and two guys burst out of the back. One was Mike dressed like he was on a Hawaiian cruise, and another was his friend Spencer. A guy that he was told he'd get a long with, felt like he was from back home.
"HOWARD? what are you doing come on." They both grabbed him and laughed. The new guy didn't say anything. As they walked by both Michael and Spencer in unison yelled.
"PLEDGE."
"Did he give you a hard time?"
"Yeah did he give old Howie a hard time." Michael said grabbing his face.
It had been almost two years since he'd seen Mike. Now he was surrounded by his new life. Everyone nodding to him as they walked back into the party. Deeper into the house.
"Oh shit he's empty handed." Spencer said.
Mike's eyes got big "Oh Shit."
They rushed to get him a cup, and gave him this sort of juice that was in there cups.
"Fuck man, if a pledge would have called us out, we would have had to do Kareoke."
"What?"
"You or anyone you're with can't not have a drink in their hand. Like its five O'clock somewhere." Spencer said.
