George didn't know, but if he was born in another country he'd commute by train. It wouldn't be driving alone for two hours a day. It would be sitting on a train, or a bus. Collectively for the same time, but the time would be filled with a book, or just people watching. Rather than paying attention to the road, and talk radio.
Although he liked talk radio. If he was in another country he would miss the radio. There was an element of the unknown with the radio. You could be listening to the normal top forty, and then all of the sudden a song would appear from your past. Taking you back to a time where you were driving with your mom before school, and the smell of her hairspray.
The Spotify playlists he listened to didn't do this. They were curated, and manicured to give you the vibe you were going for, no more and no less. Maybe there were songs that he was surprised about them being included, but even then you could subtract or add.
