Or Something

as reply to so long as his wife

It wasn't supposed to be that way. He'd tell his wife. He'd really made amends to come back home. Made up his mind. But now as the sound of the road passing under him, as well as his awareness of how tight the rope tying his hands was becoming, he wouldn't make it home tonight.

The car at least as far as he could tell was going pretty fast. Like on the highway it was warm again, so he assumed the sun was up. It sort of felt like when you go camping, waking up to a tent full of heat.

The car was slowing now, the road went from smooth to bumping to finally loose stones, it was still dark where ever he was. Maybe the Trunk or the bed of a truck he couldn't tell.

It wasn't an old car he could tell that. Seemed almost luxury the way it smelled. Never he thought had he been in such a fancy car.

The gravel stopped and with it the car. The door slammed, then another door slammed. At least two people he thought. Maybe more. Suddenly where he was was filled with light, and he was yanked outside. All he could make out was a hotel or something.
