She'd Say

"You want a fill-up?" His wife asked him.

They communicated mostly through an ipad that he kept on his desk, and she an ipad on hers. They always kept it on. Them both in their respective caves. It had started as a sort of doing things alone together, but then they sort of drifted into a semi long distance relationship, he doesn't remember the last time he saw her not on the screen. She preferred this she said, her makeup was nice, and there were digital brush-ups they could do. She didn't like when he saw her real light. 

Hers were decorated with bright red and pink lights, and his dark blue. It was what people did online and so they did it, they both were wearing headphones with one of the ears slightly off. So they could hear if the other spoke. 

The rest of the house more or less was spotless, they didn't use it, hired a cleaner that came on Monday and just did those rooms. He would see her when she would drop off his diet coke, for some reason this was one of the only things she did for him. 

"A girls gotta take care of her guy." She'd say.
