I feel like I am living in slow motion. Things are going at a very slow pace for me and I can't find the fast forward button.
It is difficult to believe that half the year is almost gone and we are on the 6th month of the year. I don't have much to put in this summary besides trying to lift off and change the direction of the second half of the year.
In May, I read a few books in audio format. I found myself reading more than I had planned but they were all things I wanted to read. I finished about 4 books...out of which 2 were fiction. I also reread Scott Adam's book - "How to fail at everything and still win big". I did that in order to work on some writing assignments but in the process realized that I hadn't taken action on a lot of the things I got from the book. I am trying to change that.
Health-wise, things are pretty consistent. I am where I was a month ago but I am not happy with that. The blood work I did shows me that I haven't made any progress despite some of the extreme measures I took to repair my body. I am having second thoughts about the effectiveness of some of the things I am doing. The part I am frustrated about is how inconsistent my doctors are. Some have indicated that my issues may have been a side effect of the vaccine. Which really does nothing for me in terms of next steps. It is hard to control or plan for something that doesn't have a clear diagnosis. I have always thought I was overmedicated - but I don't know for sure.
Writing - This is one area that I am relatively consistent. Still writing daily and have joined #TeamStreak. I am happy to get a chance to put my thoughts and ideas down. The writing class I signed up for is harder than I expected and I am learning a lot. The main lesson I learnt is that editing is everything. In order for me to write a humorous piece, I have to work on my editing skills. But I now know that it is possible.
In most other areas of my life - things are on pause.
Let's see what June will bring along.
