Rest

The time off in these past two weeks was badly needed. Weekends are too short and there's always that feeling that it's over before it began. But this time I actually was able to avoid the dread of looming work for most of it. It felt like an endless vacation even if it was just a couple more days than usual.

Not doing anything productive might have helped as well. There are some things I know I need to get done for InboxReads and usually I'd use my weekends to get a lot done. But this time I didn't. Maybe it was the holidays and being preoccupied with all the food and drinks. Usually, I'd be disappointed in myself for not being productive but this time not so much.

If there's one thing I'd like to get more of this year is that feeling of complete rest. And that probably means being okay with not being productive more often.
