"Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again" is the title of a drama written by Nigerian playwright Ola Rotimi. I've never read the book, but I know it portrays the madness that is Nigerian Politics.
Each time the madness is displayed, I'm reminded of my favourite book I never read. The most recent madness is the banning of Twitter in my country.
The illogic. The wickedness. The stupidity. It started with a shadow banning of crypto, then Twitter.
In a country with rising insecurity and ever-rising food prices. You'd expect the leaders to have proper priorities.
Due to irresponsible leaders, most Nigerian youths have to fend for themselves and social media plays a big role in that. And boom our government banned it. There's a VPN workaround, but how many people can afford a VPN. Even me, I haven't justified paying for a VPN service.
One thing the Nigerian government have done consistently is to make it difficult for her youths to thrive.
PS: I wrote about Nigeria today because I have no idea what to write about.
