You have been added to a team in Microsoft Teams

Oh goody. That's exactly what I wanted. One more place where I will get assigned tasks.

It seems like Go To Meeting and WebEx and Skype are all falling out of favor and MS Teams is the meeting option that companies are moving toward. But MS Teams isn't just about meetings apparently. There is some feature called Channels that allows for document storage and collaborative work on files. That may sound great to you, but it's just one other source of more tasks for me as far as I'm concerned.

I have plenty of tasks that come to me through email and "what-if" questions posed by executives in meetings. I don't need yet another place where more tasks will be assigned.

As you can tell, I have been shifting more from a management role to being on the front lines and getting into the weeds work. And I have more than enough on my plate.

So no, I'm not interested in joining your team channel. If you need something from me, send an email and your request will be answered in the order it was received. And if you send me a message two seconds after you send me an email telling me that you just sent me an email, your request may just go to the bottom of the list.
“I wrote you an email, did you receive it?” - every other day :) Send a reading confirmation if you want to know if I already read your message. Definitely not milliseconds after I received it.
