Count 4

Having a laptop in university was a miracle for me. My mum couldn't afford one. My Uncle was retired.

Today, I'm a budding product manager, after been a coder for some years. I got my first coding job in 2017 as an intern in a marketing agency.

I was able to get a coding job two months after University and National Service because I had a laptop while in university.

When I was resuming my first year in the university in 2011, a friend gave me his laptop. Yeah, a friend. My neighbour whom we played PC games together for several years gave me his laptop when he got a new one.

Each time I trace my tech career, I always trace it back to that laptop. Having a laptop in university mean't I could code PHP after lectures. I also built a news website for my campus. The website was not successful. But it did two things. It gave me connections with Student Leaders and also it was the thing i mentioned that made my interviewer select me for internship for my first job.

By the way, it was the same friend who nudged me to apply for tech jobs after a month and a half of joblessness in 2017. The first tech job I applied for got me that internship.
Small things can change a world for someone ;)
It ultimately led you here.
