After 22 years, I wanted to go back and see what Ethiopia looks like.
But right now, there is a civil war going on. Between one group headed by the party that was in power before and the current government.
I try to avoid hearing the details of such internal conflicts because I feel like you don't really hear the truth from anyone. Everyone tells your their subjective views.
Now, things have gotten worse. There is an emergency state in the country. And it isn't safe anymore.
My plan was to leave early Jan 2022. I have not bought any tickets yet. But nobody I know thinks that traveling there is a good idea any time soon.
