I made my debut on Instagram yesterday.
It took me a week to gather the courage.
And I ended up posting one of my early posts about my sister from 200 words a day.
Everything about social media feels wrong. After years of managing to stay away from most of them, I find that I am just joining late to something that is now essential if you are building a brand of any type.
It feels so much easier to write to a community of people like here, where I feel like I am having a genuine conversation. The idea of social media and the instant addictive feedback loop feels wrong. It doesn't feel like me.
What I am now wondering is - does everyone do it for the benefit of a brand and reaching an audience? Or does social media grow on you?
