I just found my family tree, at least, for one grandparent. It goes back to 1819, but some came across from Ireland in 1847. Which I have read was the worst year of the famine. Many people didn't make it or died on the ship. Something the tree doesn't mention. There is something very strange looking at this ever increasing tree of people over time. In three generations there are 50 or so people, not including the couples, all heading towards me and my sisters in some way. When you grow up you hear stories about different people an opera singer, who was also a card player, but who also loved large dogs. There are so many stories. The tree even connects to other trees where there could be 50 or so more people and their stories. I do wonder how it would be to interact with them, like the movie Coco, would you have similarities to to people back then or are the genes too diluted. But in all these stories would be nice to know a few. Or something about them. What did they carry in their pockets? What did they do in their free time. Did they have free time? Like the frozen humans they found from like 3000 bc, wheres his tree and why was he carrying mushrooms?
Tree
Did this tree have stories included with them?
Some did, they had small snippets. Like this person married this person +6 kids, or this person met on a boat. But other than that not much. I think my recent watching of coco made me think about these things.
