Don't look up

I refuse to believe that in 2022 we cannot effectively deflect an asteroid headed towards our planet. Does the movie show how corporate greed and collective ignorance lead to extinction? Yes, it does.

But is that so? are we really like that? Yeah, ok, it's just a movie; I shouldn't take it too seriously. Nonetheless, a good wake-up call, let's all wake up, shake off this thick layer of selfishness and consider a bit our options. Are we going to live, or will we all die together? You see, the asteroid is there just to exacerbate our societal sickness. And if we really are like that, maybe we deserve to die like the dinosaurs. That 2000 something group who managed to escape in the spaceship, the seeds of future human civilizations, oh well., not too promising. Go watch this movie if you haven't. It's a pretty damn good one; Leo Di'caprio plays his role marvelously.
There's an
asteroid
that is a candidate to hit us and kill us in
2048

You can probably guess my take on this already. It's that we already do have our own collapse issue facing us. And we do choose to not band together everyday. Its in our daily choices. To further our own selfish needs at the cost of long term sustainability.

Everything is already on course.
