Today, I spent an hour writing on paper.
I usually write on a computer unless I am making a to-do list. That I love to do on paper to this day.
When I was talking to Sir Abe some time back, he mentioned that he likes to write on paper. For whatever reason, I didn't think of that. I wasn't sure what would be easier for my ideas to flow.
A few days ago, I noticed that I have at least 10 tabs open at any given time. I have a fear of forgetting something important so I leave many tabs open at any time. And so it is easy for me to get distracted. The one time I found myself to be very productive was when I was on a cruise. I didn't have any internet connection so I got a lot of work done.
I have tried to replicate that in a few times, but it is hard. So today, I tried to write on paper after shutting down my laptop and putting my phone on airplane mode. I was able to get an easy 10 pages of write up in no time.
I am still wondering if it was the lack of distraction or the feel of paper and pen but I liked it.
I see myself doing this at least 3 times a week until I get most of what I want.
Discovering what works, one day at a time.
