I keep my work laptop set on PST because that's the timezone for my primary client. Half the year (including right now), PST is one hour behind AZ. In March, when everyone except Arizona and Hawaii spring forward, AZ will be on the same time as PST.
I have a work laptop for another client that stays set on AZ time. If I change the timezone to PST, it eventually reverts back to AZ time. That's caused me grief when trying to synchronize my meetings, so I have to regularly switch the timezone to PST. I counted a total of six clicks that were necessary to change the timezone. Maybe this is a Windows problem. It could also be that many of the system settings are locked down, and I should be happy just to be able to change the timezone no matter how many clicks. For the record, on my Mac it's only three clicks to change the timezone.
You might suggest I can create a shortcut or some automated script that would automatically change the timezone. I know such things exist, but I doubt I would be able to do that on the client's laptop. So I will be Mr. Six Clicks for the foreseeable future.
i build this boring thing that allows managers to manage timezones and I make 100k MRR working from the toilet. Here's how i did it THREAD
