Happy Valentine's Day

"So how did you celebrate vaj day?"

"Sent some chocolates and a card."

"See's candies?"

"No. Boutique shop with one of those heart-shaped boxes of assorted chocolates."

"There's two types of people in the world. Those that pick a chocolate randomly and are delighted by the surprise and those that have to know what they're eating. Which one are you?"

"Oh definitely have to know what I'm eating. When I was a kid, I remember grabbing a chocolate from one of those boxes and eating it. It was a caramel and fantastic. So I grabbed another one thinking it was the same thing, and it was this disgusting orange chocolate yuck. I learned my lesson on that one."

"What's wrong with orange and chocolate or any fruit and chocolate?"

"Doesn't go together to me. The fruit completely ruins it. Chocolate should be separate from fruit."

"Speaking of fruits, do gays celebrate vaj day?"

"What is wrong with you?? And how would I know?"

"Well, you know a lot of the gays. Maybe the chicks celebrate since they have double trouble, but I wonder about the dudes."

"Why do you care? You've been single forever so you shouldn't even be thinking about Valentine's Day."

"Hey, single people shouldn't be left out. I just celebrate with some self-love."

"Stop. TMI."

Haha, interestingly I used the second to last sentence today to stop a conversation at work.
I don’t need to be reminded that I’m single, it is hard enough without everyone asking why you’re single or telling everyone what they are doing as couples on Valentine’s Day. Just another day in a year, nothing special about it :)

Love should be shared the whole year, especially when you are in a relationship, not only on one day :)

It's got to be one of the most commercialized holidays. I'll add "don't eat at a restaurant on Valentine's Day" to "don't go to an Irish bar on St. Patrick's Day."

Valentine's day is more important than Christmas and thanksgiving combined!
