limoncello

I thought about all that, back then.
I made 12 bottles of limoncello, and I know you know, I just keep thinking about it.
They were gifts, I got the idea from an artist, not a famous one, but he is good.
I took a bag of lemons, and peeled off all the skin, you watched me, and my hands smelled of like lemons.
And I think there was a fire in the room, and it was before Christmas.
I didn't really know what was going to come next.
The plan was to soak them in vodka, I know, but I can't get pure alcohol here.
Then after a few weeks I'll add sugar, and then after a few weeks they would be done.
I put them in a bowl with a lid, it was a present from the last housemate.
I watched then each day the vodka's color changed.
I think each day after we talked a little less.
Then the vodka became a little more yellow.
At some point it was finished.
And I think I gave you a bottle for Christmas.
And you said you didn't like it.

Not as good as
Marmite
.

I notice some people are super into craft -- not craftsmanship type but rather the kind of craft you find in Michael's or Jo-Annes. The one whre you like follow instructions to make things.

anyways i remember knowing some people they'd always be making these things. and they'd give them out

this reminded me of that tradition lol
