Death Cab

Listening to Death Cab for Cutie. I hadn't listened to the band really since 2015. Their new music doesn't really impress me. I think for me and my life they always released albums when I was making big changes. Highschool ended album, college ended album, but I think since their highschool album "Codes and Keys" for me it has gone down hill. I listened to it, and thought like wow they are kind of going for a mix of the postal service and death cab. But it was more produced and seemed boring, or like they were just doing it to do it. Which is weird, because I think Ben had a number of experiment projects during that time, so its not like he wasn't making interesting music, just not with them.

Their 2005 album, which I have no life events tied too was amazing had "I will follow you into the dark" which has like 250 million plays. But back then it was less produced, but seemed really true to itself. He also did what he did well.

Their newest album keeps going in a bad direction, that I wish could go back, but maybe its time to abandon that project, unless they are having fun making the music, but from listening it doesn't seem to. The lyrics used to be one of their best features now its just bad.

Or maybe it wasn't the lyrics just the simple sound, like in some of his other projects they are quiet songs that still are interesting. Now it seems like the songs are bigger but missing something.
You got me to listen to Death Cab all day. I still like their last few records. I actually never noticed a stylistic change from previous records.

AW nice I had a day as well. I also still like it, but I loved the old albums and the postal service.
