Getting a Coffee

Espresso shot is all I got. Sitting on a rooftop or almost cafe in the hospital. I am fine, here for research, as are the people around me. I can catch some of their conversations. Serious tones. Do you think this model really recapitulates the disease? Do you really believe their findings? it seems too good to be true.
It does seem a bit too good, but it also doesn't seem to work so well. So many people trying to research so many things. But there are so many other things motivating everyone.
It's a hard life. Bills have to be paid. Children educated, and everyones trying to self actualize or at least go on vacation.
It makes me think of what a good research institute would need, or what you need to do good research and have a nice life. Stability is most important. Maslow was right with his pyramid. Then I think interactions with people at different levels. There is a lot of knowledge you just gain from talking to people who have been doing it for longer. Its like taking piano lessons rather than trying to learn from beginners. It would be nice too if you didn't have to always being selling yourself, this seems like the biggest waste of time. This would also free up some of the more senior peoples time.
Currently people have too much riding on research to be completely honest, its like a resume. Always have to show the best side. Though I realize these are the realities, just seems like it could be better.

If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers.
