I drove a Tesla today.
My brother is about to take a road trip and decided to leave his Tesla behind. In case of any emergency, he wanted to make sure that I am capable of driving the car.
So this afternoon, I got in the most amazing looking electric car and introduced myself. I had to create a profile so the car would remember my seating preferences. Next I had to learn where the gear shift was located. After a few attempts, I got the hang of it. The amazing part was the rear view mirror and the side view mirror....which my Toyota Camry doesn't have.
After a few minutes, I took it out to the road. I felt like a queen behind the Tesla. I had to be careful about the accelerator. Apparently, taking your foot off of it suggests that I want to slow down to almost a stop. In most cases, I don't even need to hit the brakes. That was a new concept and took me some time to adjust.
Other than that, I think I am in love.
Tesla feels like a plane.
