C in Italy means hot, well caldo means hot. C is written on the faucets and taps where you wash your hands. For a long time like before people could easily travel 1000 miles this didn’t matter. Now it’s just a minor inconvenience when I’m brushing my teeth, or washing my hands or getting water. Well actually you don’t really drink tap water here. Most people prefer bottled.
How ever being here does give you an interesting perspective to your culture. Like there are us stores filled to the brim with pop tarts, maple syrup, and monster energy drinks.
I don’t remember this being my culture. Like maybe when I was like 14. I did collect and it was true a pop tart or the cheaper versions I grabbed on the way to the bus. So I guess they do bring back memories but not huge ones.
People do ask you about things sometimes about America that do bring back nice memories. Like why does everyone have a butter holder at their table when they eat. And I remember white ceramic ones from childhood or possibly the Easter decorative one from grandmas house.
As we move further away these things get diluted or maybe adapted and I guess time will tell.
