Crime

I was at the bank today. There was just one cashier and things were moving slowly.

For some reason, the 2 people ahead of me were both dealing with fraud. The young couple seemed like they just needed to sort out somethings and they were able to get their issue resolved.

But the older gentleman in front of me had a more serious issue.
He was too old to be able to articulate exactly what happened but my understanding is that he got a call from someone. He said they were from Microsoft. Not sure how he reached that conclusion. He stated repeatedly that he didn't give them any of his bank credentials but he had his computer open. He was worried that there was some type of hack and he wanted the lady to check his account.

The lady tried to keep her voice low - but I heard that there was a charge of $6000 showing. The man almost fainted when he heard that. It was so sad to hear him ask why. That he didn't share his bank information. So the lady asked a manager to speak to him to sort things out.

I hope that the bank gave the man his money back. It was so sad to hear this on the one day I decide to go to the bank in person. Apparently financial crimes are on the rise. In general crime and shooting is high. And I wish there was some solution we could give to older people that don't have anyone they can trust to take care of these things.
I don't know if Batman is up to the task. These are very sophisticated attacks.
