This was supposed to be a summer night walk. Hot air thick with small buzzes flying around darting in and out.
But the rains changed that. It was hard and only for a few minutes. I was under a tree and it seemed like all the sounds were coming together. Small sounds becoming something bigger.
Then it all stopped at once and with it came cold and silence. Maybe small drips and drops here and there. Leaves shaking off residuals.
Then as clouds moved and lumbered across the sky the sun poked out, and it’s beams reached me, and the field in front of me.
It filtered through the leaves above me turning green from far away light. And the wind shook them like bells.
There wasn’t another person for miles. They probably read the weather or took shelter in under another tree. For a few minutes i seemed completely alone.

I would also share that this elicited a sense of 'presence' -- but thtat's not considerd one of the
by , I mean the sensing of presence of another or in this case the lacking of the others, being alone out there.
