Yep. Especially if the product is the rave of Twitter at the moment. Taking it up a notch, check the company's employees on LinkedIn, there's a high chance that it's an all-male team. If you're a lady, send that cold email and follow up like your life depends on it.
2) Apply in a massive volume. I'm talking 20 to 30 applications per day
3) If your former company is recruiting, and you're willing to work there. Reach out to your former boss. This works.
