I write this lines from the terrace of a supermarket near Slesisches Tor, Kreuzberg. Very lively area, people do shopping or go out or are just out for a stroll. Tonight I'm going to a light show called life after Bob. The venue is Amazing. It takes place in Berghain, one of the best clubs in Berlin. I've been there a few years ago. But before that, i have a date with a pretty indian girl. She's late, so I'm seating here on this terrace and observing. Thinking... There are things that easily go unnoticed walking around in Kreuzberg.
- there are a few buildings who survived WW2, one here another one there, spread among the other buildings making up the bulk of the urban landscape. You can almost pass them by without noticing them. I do see them, and sometimes when i have time, i even stop to look at the details. Trying to get a sense of the vibe of pre WW2 Berlin.
- Dealers; ten years ago they were selling only weed in the streets. Now they sell everything, and moreover some dealers are way more intrusive, almost trying to push they're stuff onto ppl.
- spaetis. In English that would be, general store where you can buy drinks and snacks. Prices are a little bit higher than supermarkets, but still affordable. It seems that they stepped up their game to attract clients. I've seen one here that almost has a clubbin ambience inside, loud techno, and smoke machine. Oh well, what a trip.
- homeless people. I've seen quite often homeless people who have issues ( wounds ) on their feet and legs. Might be from cheap drugs.
- there's not too much romantism going on between couples. I've rarely seen them hold hands.
My date should arrive anytime now. I should better go find a nice spot on a terrace.

I liked the quieter parts near the Freie Uni Berlin Campus lol. Prob considered boring to a party goer like you though.
