loneliness cafe home Sunday loneliness lager

It was
Sunday
afternoon. He was 30. And felt
loneliness
for the first time. This was the first time when nobody needed him. Nobody was looking for him. He could die and there would be no meaningful impact.

He had been at the
cafe
. None of the usual crowd were in. Everyone was already gone for holiday. Strange that his favorite place to sit with a coffee and read had reminded him of how alone he was. Without the usual crowd, it didn't feel so nice in there.

He left soon after arriving and went to a bar hoping that might make him feel better. There he drank a cold
lager
trying to tease out why he felt so lonely. His mom had done a superb job providing the feeling of
home
. So he had never knewn what true loneliness was. 30 was quite the late age to experience it for the first time.
