She was unsure whether this would end well. But she had to look.

The computer ran Windows. Elena had only used Apple since college. She found it charming how a subset of boomers only used  windows . Tolerated it's terrible user experience. Using the computer took her back to freshman year....

Sometimes just stating our desires is so useful because it allows us to see the size of our appetite.

compare that to the gut that is managed to consume it and you'll realize often... can't eat that much. not in this time.

But it's useful to state out because it allows you to finally see that though. Then it's up to the person to decide if they want to get real or stay asleep within the dream.

Focusing on the thesis, which is the thing you should technically be obsessed with since you are a 
phD
student... but beyond prescriptions... the thing that would be most beneficial to be obsessed with since you are a phD student... seems like the good thing.

All the companies that survived -- not even the great or good ones -- are ones where the founders were obsessed with the domain that company was embedded into.

Could you imagine a founder being obsessed with a bunch of other things and trying to make their 'company' succeed? 

That's like drinking, texting, and driving... but in life.
