Taking charge of health with biohacking

In high school, I was on the honors track. I took honors English, every math course that was offered, physics, and two years of chemistry. I only took one year of biology. Maybe it was the teacher or I just found memorizing facts about things you can't see without a microscope very boring. I was more interested in human anatomy, but we couldn't take that until completing two years of biology. So I missed out on the frog dissections and all that. Nowadays I wish I had taken that second year of biology and human anatomy and physiology. Who knew this stuff was important to know to have a solid understanding of one's own health?

I know there are plenty of people who aren't interested in taking charge of their own health. I was one of those people. I was devil-may-care as they say for many years until the music stopped, and I lost my seat at the healthy person's table.

Health is one of those things that many people take for granted. Everything is hunky-dory until one day, your body taps you on the shoulder or hits you over the head or pummels you in the kidney, with a message that says, "Hey asshole, remember me?"

As

has pointed out, your health is paramount. I know I didn't fully appreciate this concept until mine started going haywire.

Biohacking is the art and science of using technology to change the world around you and inside you to control your full biology. This concept appeals to me because it reinforces our control over how we operate. Biohacking is also science-based with a focus on results.

This is the topic I have covered most often in the Be Wellthy newsletter, and I may just decide to write exclusively about it in the future based on my connection with this tribe and the excitement I get writing newsletters like the one released today: Dave Asprey Limited Edition Box.

If you are already taking charge of your health, great! Hopefully, you are paying attention to what's going on in the biohacking community. It's okay if you're not ready to take charge of your health. I'll wait.

Lord, give me chastity and self-control, but not yet. --St. Augustine
Good choice Brandon. I think you have both an expertise, passion and amazing story to share with the world. I will likely share my story as well once I get to the point where I am ok with sharing the lows and the highs.
