Pasta

I had a big bowl of pasta today. Zero carbs.
It took me a while to perfect the recipe. But I am there now. It is delicious and guilt free.

The pasta alternative is a root plant called konjac...  It is a high fiber zero carb plant. All the carbs are in the form of fiber so they cause no spike in sugars.

The problem with pasta made from this plant is that it has a very fishy smell. It takes a lot of tedious steps to get the smell out. The first few brands I tried made me not want to eat the pasta at all. Sometimes the smell never goes away and I can't enjoy the meal.

I finally found a brand that is more expensive than the usual but has zero smell. I have to do nothing at all but mix the other ingredients and it is ready to eat.

I usually made something with alfredo sauce and a ton of vegetables. I add the pasta in the end and let them simmer together for a bit.

Due to the fiber content, I get full quickly and don't over eat. Some people are even using the pasta to help with weight loss for the same reason.
The fish flavor should be incorporated somehow. much of great japanese and korean food is fish based

Yes that is true. I never thought of it that way. I may have to think of a new recipe using that as an asset.
