Cal couldn't sleep. He thought about how good a cup of coffee would be in the morning. I mean why can't I have one now? It was quiet hours, but the machine was never switched off. He thought of it as an experiment. He crept out of bed. Putting on just slippers. Arriving at the machine he pressed espresso. Let's not go too crazy he thought. Who was up at this time. He walked around. It was quiet. He stopped at the window and looked at Earth. But then something caught his eye. From the watching room there was a blue light. A single computer screen. Like a star in the sky. Cal was confused, it wasn't not allowed but you just weren't supposed to be working now. Maybe it's just the computer. He drank the espresso almost already cold in his hand.
Hey... anyone here.
He heard movement, but just the creaking of a chair.
Yep, hows it going. Keiths voice called back. What do you want?
Cal walked over.
Just wondering whats up. He twirled the coffee cup in his hand. Shifting his weight from foot to foot. He worried his question gave off the fact that Keith shouldn't be here.
Keith said. Its alright to work out of hours sometimes. I'm just checking I have this theory....
