Everyone has a unique perspective, which means that some of the ideas you choose to speak up about will inevitably be met with opposition.
You might mistakenly see this opposition as problematic and think that subduing your voice is the best course of action:
Never mind, let’s just do it your way.
Alternatively, you can remind yourself that you showed up to help make things better — not to be an echo chamber for someone else’s confirmation bias.
Your ruckus is nothing to be ashamed about, it is what you bring to the table to create the discourse and tension needed to get to our best ideas, work, and culture.
Then I thought. Hey maybe that wasn't just a default. That was designed by Will. Just like a seamless UX -- think Apple -- is because of meticulous effort and reflection... maybe the seamless/ruckus-less Will is like that?
I wonder. Going forward will there be more ruckus? What would that be? I guess I have such a high opinion of you that I can't even imagine anything you stand for or say causing me ruckus lol.
Bust this, I'm kickin like Segall, Out for Justice
The roughness, yes, the rudeness, ruckus
Redrum, I verbally assault with the tongue
Murder one, my style shot ya knot like a stun-gun
I'm hectic, I wreck it with the quickness
Set it on the microphone, and competition get blown
I have a ton to say about second-gen immigration + growing up a model citizen minority --> causing a drive for total ruckus. This week's call will be a good one.
