"If your gunna teach a monkey dance on a pedestal don't start with the pedestal" he paused and turned looking at the guy next him.
"You're the monkey" he looked him up and down.
"Now we gotta make sure you know how to dance."
The guy at the other end of this monologue was Stanley McGuire, he goes by just Stanley, to his friends just Stan. He through most of his life was bang average. He even looked average he wasn't tall, he had a bad haircut, and he never said much. This never really got him anywhere usually. But when Mr. Green first met him, he said to the guy.
"How would like to work with the big dogs?"
He was insinuating that he himself was a big dog. This comment Stan didn't understand as Mr. Green was below average height.
His job was simple, they did coffee 2$ for a refill cup, then bread. Nice and easy. He didn't even have to make it. It was boring almost too boring, and thats all Stan had to do. Except when the phone rang, That was the important part. First he'd press one, this would loop the video camera. Then he'd say, "Of course sir your order is here waiting for you. Thank you, See you soon!" Then he'd press 2. This two would open the back door, and allow Mr. Greens crew to move things around.
"Life is just about moving things around"
They went over it a few times, just running drills. The alarm came just as a phone, the idea was he'd go answer it and first press one. This would loop the camera. Then he'd say, "Of course sir your order is here waiting for you. Thank you, See you soon!". Then he'd press 2 wait for two seconds, and then hang up.
"Easy right?"
Stan nodded in agreement.
