White and Bright

as reply to bar habits

Stan was at that point without a care in the world. A warmth set over him and he felt as though he could talk to anyone. He was talking to everyone. Asking them “How do you do?”

He would ask this in a fake English accent sometimes even curtsy they would laugh. He wish it this would never end. Derek had told him after a few beers you gotta take it slow. Have a show beer. A beer you essentially hold but more meant you are open to conversation.

“After this just take it slow, don’t wanna drink too fast”

“What? “

“Take it slow Man, there’s no rush, try this.”

He gave him a special shot. Well it was just a whiskey and some pickle juice. But it will help with tomorrow Derek said.

Stan knocked it back then the pickle juice.

“Ahhhh”

Stan opened his mouth to show Derek it’s gone.

“You good?”

“Me, I’m great man!”

Derek slapped him on the back. Then spoke with some others. Some people from the cafe, some other people who were always there.

Stan meanwhile ventured off to the bathroom  from the bar he felt light and bouncy but when he turned the corner he felt more dizzy.

In the mirror he saw his reflection. The bathroom was old the light white and bright.
