"So whats the deal with her ?" Jimmy said as they were walking back.
From the restaurant they had to walk up a hill, well that was the short way. You first had to climb under a fence then into a field. This field had trash everywhere, then you had to climb the hill. Once you finished that you were there. There was another way, through some neighborhoods, but this way felt like a trek after that feast.
Dick held the chain up for Jimmy to pass through.
"I don't know I think her family owns the place, I don't really get what she does."
"No no I mean she was looking at you a lot, I thought. You too at her."
Now they started the slow ascent their breathing got harder.
"Yeah, man I don't know she seems cool, just never says anything. So idk, you know I kind have a thing with Alice anyway so."
"I know, Alice here maybe Alice there. You guys text much?"
"Here and there, more about class stuff. "
"Wheres she now? Lets hit her up."
"Im not sure, she was away for the break, but probably should be back soon. I don't know."
"Where'd she go?" They were breathing hard now almost to the top of the hill.
"To the ski resort you know up north."
"She can't ski now?" Jimmy laughed and breathed. As they reached the top of the hill. One part of the city you could see clearer now the shopping center. Dick liked to come up here, and pretend he could see everything.
"No I think she's just going to hike."
"At a ski resort? Off season? Why doesn't she just come here?" Jimmy shook his head laughing looking around.
They started their descent, and Dick was talking about dinner, already hungry they had some eggs 6 at least now, and he bet they could score some off a neighbor for baking. Jimmy stopped at shop, out he came with 4 tall boys.
"Back-ups" He said smiling. The sun was high in the sky, and he swung the plastic bag back and forth as he walked.
