Doug 14: out loud

as reply to Doug 13: the risotto thickens

The cops who arrived first messed up the scene. They didn't use gloves, got shoes marks on the ground. It was in the words of the new detective contaminated.

He felt as soon as he entered the scene something was wrong. It didn't feel like a suicide. He didn't leave a note everyone kept saying. The detective wasn't listening. He needed a case. Something like this, if he could solve it, would make his career.

"Detective, we have some bad news." Someone on his team tried to reach him over the walkie talkie.

"Someones put some information out. Said about the investigation."

"What, we said no press until we get a good look at the forensics we have no lead, its just a hunch."

"It wasn't any of our guys, it was some.... some podcast. "

"What the fuck you mean a podcast?" The detective responded back.

"Just that, you know those crime podcasts. I don't know, they knew a lot about the scene, sounds like forensics or something, maybe we have a leak."

The detective looked around at the team, people were taking pictures, another was just cataloguing the room.

"Who would tell? Whats the point?" The detective said out loud.
