Greg had kept the balance the same amount since his mom's passing. He had gotten the funds accidentally deposited into the checking account when he had meant to get it sent to the savings.

Because the checking account had no interest, the number remained the same all these years. He looked at that number. The aesthetic of it. He would never change it out of choice. It would take a disaster for him to be willing to do so.
