Watching Him Spacecity New York

as reply to empire state building

The next day he called in sick again. No one batted an eye.

"Of course take as much time as you need" they told Keith.

I need about a week, Keith thought. That should be enough time to take it all in. Flights were cheaper than he thought, last minute deal.

He felt weird today, like he was watching himself. Sometimes it would happen to people in
Spacecity
too much watching, not good for the head. He wondered if the other lab members would notice. I guess they'd notice there was no one making a to do list for them, but they're adults. Keith wasn't sad about this.

Instead he was sad about what he was finding, what the data was telling him. A few meetings he was insistent, told people what he believed was going on, and some experiments to prove it. They hadn't gotten to them yet, some people didn't want to do that. Told them they were already done a long time ago. "No use to dig up the past." They said.

He still felt like something was off. All the way to
New York
he felt like someone else, or like someone was watching him.
