You could give a lot of coffees on the house at

. They made
coffee
in those large self serve serve containers that customers poured using a spigot. The office tracked how many containers were made and how many cups were purchased. but because employees go to drink coffee for free, they didn't keep a stringent check of whether the coffee purchases lined up with the production.
Love was giving out free coffees quite liberally. Was his favorite part of the job. Well one of them.
Another favorite part of the job was what happened before the job. He'd shave real close. Walk into the store with a smooth baby face. By the end he walked out with dark bristles. He liked the change. He felt like some progress was made. Unlike those days when he'd make those videos. Dancing on screen. he was paid better back then. He was back to near minimum wage now.
But he felt like he could start life over again. He had never felt that after running away. Running from his wife and kids. Running from the Blue Man identity. Driving across the country with Denver. Killing the man in the expensive suit. Driving again and staying at the Motel with Sammy. All of that felt like some botched attempt at starting over in life. But all of those had felt less like a fresh start and more like a continuation of the previous life.
