She liked it. People teased her, but she liked it. Her friend Cindy and her discovered it. A long time ago, when they were twenty, or something, they traveled together, just them. Two girls, well two women, and they traveled through Europe. There they drank port in Porto, and stayed out too late. They slept in hostels, met some guys. Then moved to Amsterdam where they smoked and cried laughing, there Cindy maid out with a women, and told her after it was the same. They stayed there for awhile, so long that they both said they would live there. They had plans to go to Paris, but they weren't in a hurry. One night they drank too much, smoking weed and talking at the bar. When they woke up they were horribly hung over. Their mouths dry they went to hostel counter, there the guy said you need peppermint tea and milk that will cure you. Next time smoke your joints with strawberry leaves too, not tobacco believe me.
They laughed at this once they were out of the hostel, but the sun assaulted their eyes, and their stomachs turned. So they said okay they'll try it. They found a dark dimly lit cafe and asked for that. Peppermint tea with milk. The bartender looked at them and then just shrugged.
After the first sip they already felt cured. And since then every morning of the trip they'd have one. It was a reset Cindy said "Forgives the sins from the night before and gets us ready for the new ones."
She always said things like that, like she was giving some sort of toast.
She gathered her stuff and went inside. There her tea would be finally cool enough to drink.
