How'd he miss those texts he wondered? He had a long face the entire time he sat there at the pizza show with Jack and Aaron.

"Aren't you gonna eat, boy?" Aaron said.

"No appetite."

"What's wrong?" Jack snickered. Alan looked at him. Knew that Jack knew.

"It's Imogen isn't it?"

Aaron laughed. "Man you really like her that much?"

"Oh he's crazy over her."

Alan stood up. The chair screeched against the floor. It was a dramatic display, but he didn't walk to exit.

"What do you like about her so much?" Aaron's voice was gentle. Like he actually cared. His joking was gone. This caught Alan off guard. He sat back down.

"I don't know."
