Hung Up Imogen Howe

When
Imogen Howe
arrived back at the room she felt that something had changed. There was shift of some sort she thought. She looked around the room, it all looked usual. The sea breeze blowing into the window. The bed made like Jack had tried his hardest. But something was still off. Like a job was left undone. At the windowsill there was a coffee cup still with a small amount of coffee inside.

She examined it, took a sip, it was cold. Usually he cleaned this up before she got back. He didn't usually leave it here, it means he hadn't come back. It was 4pm.

She looked around the room for clues, but there was nothing.

She looked at her phone but there was nothing.

She left the room and asked the front desk.

They saw him leaving, but yes, it was strange he hadn't come back yet.

Maybe they were on to her she thought. She was back in the room now, she needed to move. She would check the pier. He's probably just there, got caught up in a conversation.

She tried to call, but no answer. She tried again.

Nothing.

She tried again.

"Why you calling so much? Who is this?"

She quickly hung up.
