Wasn’t Kidding

as reply to g'night

Danny aka Danny the Phantom, was now riding shotgun in Blayne’s truck on the way back to the seaside rest.

The kid, Kevin, didn’t really understand how it happened, just that Danny started laughing as soon as he heard what Blayne said.

And he continued to repeat it in the car.

“But but but there was an used cup on the windowsill.” He said and bowled with laughter.

“Dude Blayne’s always like this. Like seriously.” He flicked his cigarette out the window then lit a new one.

“Like this one time in college I think Blayne thought he heard a ghost and came running out of his room in his underwear. Good times.”

He laughed again like he just remembered part of the story, but didn’t share it. Just kept sighing and smoking. Taking long inhales.

Every time the kid thought he was going to
Cough, but he never did.

The kid stayed silent though. Didn’t know what to say. Blayne was kind of the first boss he had, he always seemed serious not like how Danny described him.

“I’m glad he didn’t tell you what I do, then I’d have to kill you, ahh! Just kidding.”

Kevin looked over at Blayne then back at the road. For one reason or another he knew he wasn’t kidding.
