Blayne always liked Danny coming over. He was lucky he didn’t have a roommate, some honours privilege. Allowed him to study more. Normally his floor was quiet, but when Danny was there it was electric.
Danny always knew what to do. One time he opened the door and just started playing music. Started setting up beer pong, and some shots. And the whole time Blayne kept saying there’s no way this was going to work. But it did soon his room was so full they couldn’t move. Blayne shot one look at Danny and he yelled, “let’s go dancing!” Soon everyone was out and walking to a frat down the street.
He liked that about him. When Blayne didn’t know what to do Danny did. He became someone he’d always ask for advice. Even when he moved out west he asked Danny where to go. Where to work.
“The Seaside rest, best place on the planet.”
So that’s where Blayne was. The Seaside rest.
When Danny and the kid pulled up it was just like old times.
“There he is.”
Danny pretended to punch him.
“Oh hey woah.”
When they finished their ritual Danny asked.
“You really think they got your guy?”
