"We'll go north like usual." Danny said.
Blayne nodded in agreement. He was careful not to go above the speed limit too much, just like 4 miles over.
"Ocean meets that river. Always hard to find things there. Everything gets lost so easily. "
The kid I guess had always wondered why Blayne had nice things. Not that they were particularly nice like a Porsche or a Gucci bag or something. But all of his stuff just looked sturdy. Even his truck, had some extra buttons the kid had never seen before. He thought at first maybe he just liked cars.
But he'd known most people at the hotel don't make that much money.
Now things were starting to make sense.
"We'll pull off soon, get some food, take a piss. Wait a bit. I gotta check this."
He shook a black box in front of him. And turned it on a little. Different people were talking
"We've got a 224 on beverly hill ave, we need two units up there to check it out. Over."
It was a police radio.
"Nothing of us yet, just have to make sure no one saw nothing. It was a lot of shooting a mistake could have been made."
"I switched my plates."
"Yeah, but your car is uh recognizable. Just gotta be sure."
"Sure sure yeah, always good."
They continued driving in silence.
