Every Day Westcity

She heard a bang, and the music turned down abruptly.

Then a man appeared behind the counter. It wasn't the old guy. It was someone else. Although there were similarities.

"Yes, what can I do for you?"

The guy said, she looked at him credulous. He looked familiar.

"Just twenty, on pump three." She said. And almost stopping there, but she couldn't help but ask.

"Where's the other guy?"

"He uh, he passed away. Not too long ago. Actually, I just kind of took over. Needed a change yeah, so it worked out. Just twenty on three. That all?"

"Oh and this." She said. Putting  two snickers and a slim jim on the counter.

"Anything else?"

She said sighed.

"Okay I guess, a cup of coffee also, you don't do espresso?"

"If we were doing espresso we wouldn't sell shit."

She hurried and poured her self a cup.

" He said.

"Uh, yeah." She said. "You?"

"Yeah I uh used to teach like fitness classes there. You looked familiar."

"Shit are you Steve from the body gym?"

"The one and only."

"Holy shit. What. How did you get out here?"

"Just needed a change I guess. Was tired, of always the same classes, same people every day. Here someone new every day."
